01 Who we are
Aluronis LTD (“Aluronis”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is the controller responsible for your personal data when you use our website at aluronis.co.uk (the “Site”) or contact us. We are a company registered in England and Wales (Companies House registration in progress; company number will be published once issued), with our registered office at Unity House, Suite 888, Westwood Park, Wigan WN3 4HE, United Kingdom.
This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. If you have any questions, contact us at info@aluronis.co.uk.
Aluronis LTD is not currently registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO); this position is kept under review as our processing activities evolve.
02 The personal data we collect
We may collect and process the following:
- Contact and communication data — when you email us or otherwise get in touch: your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), your organisation, and the content of your message.
- Technical data — internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time-zone setting, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access the Site.
- Usage data — information about how you use the Site, such as the pages you visit and how long you spend on them.
We collect technical and usage data only where cookies or similar technologies are in use — see our Cookie Policy. We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as data revealing health, race or religion) through the Site, and we ask that you do not send us such data unless necessary.
03 How we collect your data
- Directly from you — when you contact us by email or otherwise communicate with us.
- Automatically — as you interact with the Site, we may collect technical and usage data through cookies and similar technologies, where enabled. See our Cookie Policy.
04 How we use your data and our lawful bases
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We use your data as follows:
- To respond to your enquiries and communicate with you — lawful basis: our legitimate interests (responding to and managing enquiries) and/or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To provide, secure and improve the Site — lawful basis: our legitimate interests (running and improving our website and protecting it).
- To use non-essential cookies and analytics — lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations — lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your interests, rights and freedoms.
05 Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers (processors) who help us run our business and website, such as hosting, IT and analytics providers. They may only process your data on our instructions and under appropriate agreements.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where necessary.
- Authorities or other third parties where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.
06 International transfers
Where we, or our service providers, transfer your personal data outside the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection by relying on an appropriate safeguard recognised under UK data protection law — such as an adequacy decision, or the International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). You can ask us for more information about the safeguards in place.
07 How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes we collected it for, including to satisfy any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Enquiry correspondence is generally retained for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
08 Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data;
- object to, or request restriction of, our processing;
- request the transfer of your data (data portability);
- withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@aluronis.co.uk. We will respond within the timeframes required by law (usually within one month). You will not normally have to pay a fee.
09 Security
We have appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
11 Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read their own privacy notices.
12 Children
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.
13 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
